A $100 million apartment is now up for sale, as shown in the photos below, and is being dubbed as the most expensive apartment in the history of the New York real estate market, and even in the entire country.

As noted at the New York Daily News recently, the $100 million apartment is an octagon-shaped penthouse located at 150 West 56th Street in midtown-Manhattan, and is being sold by Long Island real estate developer Steven Klar.

According to the report, the luxurious apartment covers the 73rd through 76th floor of CitySpire tower, which Klar bought in 1993 for $4.5 million and spent at least as much for its renovation, is listed with Prudential Douglas Elliman, where Raphael De Niro, the son of actor Robert De Niro, is among its brokers.

The 8,000-square-foot apartment, which was designed by Architect Juan Pablo Molyneux, features 6 bedrooms, 9 bathrooms and a wraparound terrace with 350-degree views of the city. It also has a private elevator, 135 windows, and a dining room for 20 people.

Molyneux reportedly took the original raw space and created a high-class interior with inlaid marble floors, majestic columns, gold draperies, and chandeliers; with Klar selling his deluxe apartment not because of money but because he fears his 5-year-old son might fall off in one of its terraces.
