“Million Dollar Money Drop” Game Show Premieres in Singapore, Host George Young becomes Trending in Twitter

The “Million Dollar Money Drop” game show, which is hosted by George Young, has premiered in Singapore, Tuesday, August 9, 2011, as disclosed by entertainment news sites.

Apparently George Young and the “Million Dollar Money Drop” show has become one of the Top Twitter Trends today, Tuesday, August 9, 2001, as Young goes on social media Facebook and Twitter to “watch” himself host the show. He wrote on his Facebook wall,

“Look – we’re watching each other! Million Dollar Money Drop is on now!”

The game is based on the UK show “The Million Pound Drop Live,” only it is not live, but pre-taped. The show airs for an hour over MediaCorp Channel 5 and the mechanics of the show is similar to that of its UK counterpart, which was cancelled by FOX on May 18, 2011.

A couple is presented with a million Singaporean dollars. They are asked to answer 8 multiple-choice type questions and risk their money with the answers they have chosen. If they get the correct answer, they keep the money, but if they answered incorrectly, they lose the money through trapdoors. This goes on until the last question. They get to retain the money left after they have answered all the questions.
