“Apollo 18”: Movie Based on Alleged Mysterious NASA Mission Opens in Theaters, September 2

“Apollo 18”, the movie based on an alleged mysterious NASA mission of 2 astronauts will open in theaters on September 2, 2011. This was disclosed by entertainment news sites, June 25.

The movie storyline was based on a “found footage” supposedly of a mysterious mission to the moon, which NASA never acknowledged to have existed.

Apollo 18 is set in 1974 and reportedly, Bob Weinstein of Dimension Films claimed that the film “was not a work of fiction.” There were skeptics. however, to this statement.

The movie release has been moved twice before finally settling on September 2. The public will now be able to view the film in theaters.

Apollo 18 is released by Weinstein Company, produced by Timur Bekmambetov and Ron Schmidt and directed by Gonzalo Lopez-Gallego. The screenplay was done by Brian Miller.
