’50 50’ Movie: Actors Seth Rogen, Joseph Gordon-Levitt Brings to Screen Humor in Cancer (Trailer)

The ’50/50’ movie stars Seth Rogen and Joseph Gordon-Levitt and is directed by Jonathan  Levine. It brings to the screen, humor in situations surrounding people with cancer, as reported by  entertainment news, September 30, 2011.

Reportedly, the ‘50/50’ talented cast were able to portray a balance between handling cancer and finding light moments between the unpleasant condition. Most reviews said that it is a ‘dramedy’ or a drama-comedy.

‘50/50’ movie’s plot revolves around the story of Adam (Gordon-Levitt) who discovered he had cancer and how he battled the condition with a sense of dignity and humor with his best friend Kyle (Seth Rogen.)

The movie 50/50 opened in theaters last Friday, September 30, 2011, to apparently good reviews from critics.

According to Washington Post, this is one review given by a Post critic, Ann Hornaday :

‘50/50’ takes the hackneyed convention of illness-driven melodrama and reinvigorates it with honesty, clear-eyed compassion and unsentimental wit.”
