‘The Walking Dead’ TV Series officially gets a Season 2

AMC’s ‘The Walking DeadTV series officially gets a Season 2 and will make 13 more episodes, as reported by MTV on Tuesday.

According to the report, this decision by Fox International Channels (FIC) was based on the overwhelming success of its Season 1 which premiered on Halloween eve.

AMC released the announcement on Monday in which MTV has acquired, confirmed that Fox renewed the ‘The Walking DeadTV series.

The Walking Dead’ Season 1 had its worldwide premiere simultaneously on 120 countries in Europe, Latin America, Middle East and in Asia, and was said to have grab the highest rating made by an original TV series at Fox.

“The ‘Dead’ has spread!” AMC President Charlie Collier said on the announcement.

“No other cable series has ever attracted as many Adults 18-49 as ‘The Walking Dead.’ He added.

As AMC shared the ratings to the public, ‘The Walking DeadSeason 1 premiere had over 5.3 million total viewers on October 31.

Meanwhile, ‘The Walking DeadSeason 2 which premiered on November 7 was enjoyed by over 4.7 million total viewers worldwide.

The Walking DeadTV series was based on the long-running comic book by Robert Kirkman, and is a survival story of County Sheriff Rick Grimes fighting against a zombie attack on his town.
