Update January 30, 2011: Sleman Crop Circles Are Man-Made
A 70-meter-wide crop circle was reportedly spotted on Monday, January 24, 2011 in a rice field in Sleman, Yogyakarta in Indonesia.
According to reports, the pattern looks like an intricately designed flower. It appeared in the middle of the green paddies and has drawn so much attention to thousands of curious visitors.
The cause of the crop circles is not yet clear and has been rumored that it might be a UFO trace.
“The circles were there since yesterday morning. I think they were left by an alien space ship, like one I saw in TV. It is impossible that this was made by the wind or any animal,” Krasakan resident Cahyo Utomo said on Monday.
Meanwhile, some residents said that they saw a tornado on Saturday evening and have seen traces in their fields the following day. However, according to Budi Waluyo, head of the Meteorology, Climatology and Geology Agency in Yogyakarta, there were no records of tornado in the province or its surrouding areas on Saturday and Sunday. He also added that even if a tornado did occur, it would leave a distinctive snaking trail, not a crop circle.
Reports said that, police officers have decided to block the area with a yellow tape, while farmers have fenced off the area to prevent their fields from being trampled by sightseers.
Furthermore, villagers reportedly charging entrance fees for those who wanted to see the area. It was also said that there were vendors who are selling pictures of the crop circle.
According to Thomas Djamaluddin, head of the atmospheric sciences and chief of astronomy research at the National Aeronautics and Space Agency, “we will not send investigators to the scene because we suspect the crop circle involves human invention, not natural phenomena, nor scientific phenomena associated with outer space creatures commonly referred to as aliens.”

Is it at all possible this or any crop symbol was done by humans? Yes, in my opinion.But i don’t know.So if i could i would investigate. Why won’t NASA? What credible research institude or indviduals have? Has there been any conclusive,recorded evidence one way or the other for these odd graffities?
Really? Crop Circles? The 90′s called, they want their stupid hoax back! I can’t believe that there are still people in the ‘civilized’ world that haven’t seen how teenagers, etc. do those things. Try Youtube!
The thought of aliens from another planet are very real, it really makes since. Why would God

one of the best books i’ve ever read is called “secrets in the fields” i believe….fascinating compilation
of the decades (yes, decades) of recorded “crop circles” around the world and what they could mean
by scientists who’ve studied them for decades, as well. a few were made by pranksters, but who made the other 10,000 (ten thousand, yes)? most have been proven that they were not made by humans, animals, or normal earth-type events (there are photos of wheat stalks actually WOVEN together in the depressed areas). believe it……or not.
Alien probably do exsist in my opinion…. Scientificly, out of all the planets and moons in the universe, the odds are that at least 1 or 2 of them have the conditions rights for life to form. The odds prove it! I don’t think all aliens are bad or kidnappers at all! I think that just like us, there are good aliens and bad. Also, i don’t think they are trying to abduct us. i think that they are trying to figure out if they have any microbes(bacteria) that will make us sick or if we have any that will make them sick and are trying to get around those problems. When that is resolved, then they might reveal themselves to the public. plus, they know that that experince is probably frightning to us, so they try to make us forget about it to make us feel better. Will we ever know the truth? Probably not in the foreseeable future, but in the near future indeed……

How narrow minded are our scientists? I have never seen a UFO but I have no real reason to beleive they don’t exist. All of these people see something. God doesn’t say there are no other worlds besides us. Of course this exists, you can see it. How can we be so blind as to not send a knowledgeable person to check this out? America, you can’t keep your head in the sand forever.
