Wonder Woman has been rejected by NBC, several entertainment news sites reported on Sunday. According to reports, mixed reviews at test screenings may have hindered the show.

Wonder Woman, which stars Adrianne Palicki as the superhero and Liz Hurley as the villain, “just didn’t seem to fit in with what we were doing,” NBC Entertainment Chairman Robert Greenblatt was quoted saying.

Greenblatt pointed out that the release of early pictures of Palicki in the Wonder Woman costume “didn’t have anything to do with whether the show got picked up.”

“I don’t know if it’s cursed or what. I just have this one experience. They made a really fine pilot and Adrianne Palicki did a fantastic job. You look at what you have, what you need, and it just didn’t seem to fit in with what we were doing.” Greenblatt reportedly told Entertainment Weekly.

Reports said that Greenblatt confirmed that Warner Bros TV is free to shop the series out to other TV networks.
