Winnie the Pooh Corner Shop Home in East Sussex For Sale At £600,000

Winnie the Pooh corner shop, owned by Mike Ridley and was opened in 1978, has been put up for sale for about £600,000, according to reports by several international news sites on Saturday, June 18, 2011.

Recent reports added that after 33 years of promoting Winnie the Pooh and Pooh Country, the owner wants to retire.

“Pooh’s been so much my life over the years. We get Pooh fans from all over the world”, Mike Ridley said in a statement.

“I have given all my life to Pooh Corner. Now I want to start doing other things”, he added.

Pooh Corner, a cottage in Hartfield, England, boasts the world’s largest collection of Pooh memorabilia and has hosted Winnie the Pooh fans from nearly 100 countries across the world for more than 30 years.

Winnie the Pooh, created by AA Milne will be having its original big-screen movie presentation in classic Disney hand-drawn style on July 15, 2011.

Reports mentioned that the movie will feature the voices of Jim Cummings as Winnie the Pooh and Tigger, Tom Kenny as Rabbit, Craig Ferguson as Owl, Travis Oates as Piglet, Kristen Anderson-Lopez as Kanga, Jack Boulter as Christopher Robin, Wyatt Hall as Roo and Bud Luckey as Eeyore.
