UAAP Season 74 Elimination FEU vs. DLSU results: FEU Tamaraws wins over Green Archers

Manila, PhilippinesFEU Tamaraws won against DLSU Green Archers in UAAP Season 74 men’s basketball tournament opening game, 74-65, on Sunday, July 10, 2011.

As shown live on ABS-CBN Studio 23, the FEU vs DLSU match started at around 1 p.m. (local time) and was held at the Araneta Coliseum in Quezon City.

The Far Eastern University (FEU) Tamaraws is the runner-up for the UAAP Season 73 last year after losing from Ateneo de Manila University (ADMU).

Meanwhile, Dindo Pumaren returns on his second year as De La Salle University (DLSU) Green Archers, with LA Revilla, who was absent for a year due to health reasons.

The score tied at 18-all at the end of the first quarter after FEU had a 7-3 run against DLSU, while FEU led two points at the end of halftime, 35-33.

On the other hand, FEU Tamaraws ended the third quarter with a 7-point lead, 52-45, with 2010 MVP RR Garcia of FEU scoring 17 of his 21 points in the 2nd half of the game.

For the second game of UAAP Season 74 opening day, Ateneo Blue Eagles won against Adamson Falcons, 55-51.
