The Dukan Diet book popularized in France will be released in the United States on Tuesday, according to reports by several international news sites.
This France‘s best-selling book is reportedly used by Kate Middleton prior to his upcoming wedding with Prince William.
Reports say that The Dukan diet has four phases and much like the Atkins diet because it allows a person to eat meat while on diet. But there are restrictions on other types of food to eat and this includes potatoes and avocados.
Below are the four phases of The Dukan Diet.
- Phase One is called the attack phase that seeks to have quick weight loss by eating nothing but lean protein and oat bran culled from the husks.
- Phase Two is called the cruise phase where a person is allowed to add vegetables in the food.
- Phase Three is considered as the most important. This stage allows the person to have one serving of fruit and two slices of whole wheat bread per day.
- Phase Four is the stabilization phase. It allows a person to anything they want as long as they eat a pure-protein diet once a week and this usually last for the rest of a person’s life.
The Dukan Diet plan was written by Dr. Pierre Dukan in France, 35 years ago.
