Legendary rock band The Rolling Stones has four gigs this year 2012, as announced by the current band members themselves via a video on their official YouTube channel, as shown below. This is part of their 50th anniversary celebration, along with their latest compilation album GRRR!, to be released on November 12, 2012.

“Ladies and Gentlemen they are back! The most eagerly anticipated concerts of 2012 are announced today as the greatest rock ‘n’ roll band, The Rolling Stones, confirm their long awaited return to the stage with four spectacular arena shows in London and New York.” A statement reads on the YouTube description.
“Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, Charlie Watts, and Ronnie Wood at last revealed their return to live work exclusively via this video.” The statement added, which is also posted at RollingStones.com where pre-orders of tickets for the London gigs began this Monday, October 15.
According to the announcement, the first two Rolling Stones concerts will be held at London‘s O2 Arena on Sunday, November 25, 2012 and Thursday, November 29, 2012. The other two concerts will be at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey on Thursday, December 13, 2012 and Saturday, December 15, 2012.
“Everybody loves a celebration, and London and New York are two good places to do it in!” Mick Jagger, the band’s lead singer since 1962 and among its founding members, was quoted in the report. He suggested that there might be special guests on the gigs, saying that “maybe a few friends joining us.”
“Sorry to keep you all hanging around but the waiting is over. I’ve always said the best place for rock and roll is on the stage and the same is true for the Stones. I’m here with Mick, Charlie, and Ronnie and everything is rocking. See you very soon!” Keith Richards said.
This upcoming Rolling Stones 2012 concerts will be first time for the four rock icons to perform together as a band after their three acclaimed nights at London‘s O2 Arena, back in 2007. Last Thursday, October 11, the iconic band released their latest song titled “Doom and Gloom,” which is included in their new album.
