Orlando Bloom, proud father of a 10lbs baby boy, will receive a staggering $1 million for his J.R.R. Tolkien’s two-part film entitled, The Hobbit, according to international entertainment sites. Initial plan for the film was to make the second part as a “bridge” movie between The Hobbit and Lord of the Rings trilogy. However, it is not yet clear if this plan will push through.

According to the reports, the $1 million role of Bloom is just a two-minute film appearance for him.

The filming of The Hobbit is expected to start soon. The movie is scheduled for release on December. The film was initially delayed due to budget constraints and location problems.

Bloom will join Martin Freeman who will play Bilbo Baggins, together with Dominic Monaghan, Andy Serkis and Sir Ian McKellen. However, the final cast for the film has yet to be confirmed.
