NFL Wild Card Weekend: Saints and Texans Advanced to NFL Divisional Playoffs

As reported by various international sites, both NFL teams of New Orleans Saints and Houston Texans advanced to the NFL Divisional Playoffs scheduled to start on January 14, 2012.
The Texans defeated the Bengals in the final score of 31-10 in the AFC. Houston Texans’ Arian Foster carried 24 times for 153 yards for two touchdowns, including an 8-yard run to tie the score at 7-7 in the first quarter. He added a second score on a 42-yard run in the final quarter.
“This team believes. I’ve never been on a team like this. We don’t need anyone else to believe because we believe in ourselves,” Foster was quoted saying in a post-game interview.
Meanwhile, former Super Bowl champion New Orleans Saints won against rival Detroit Lions in the NFC in a final score of 45-28. The Lions had a score of consistent 7 points across all quarters of the game. They led the first quarter but eventually outscored by the Saints in the second up to fourth quarter. Drew Brees threw for 466 yards and three touchdowns.
New Orleans Saints is scheduled to battle against San Francisco 49ers in the NFC on at 4:30pm ET on January 14, 2012 in the NFL Divisional Playoffs while Houston Texans is scheduled to play against Baltimore Ravens in the AFC at 1pm ET the next day on January 15, 2012.
Two remaining games of the NFL Wild Card Weekend will be played on January 8, 2012 for the NFL Playoffs games between Atlanta Falcons vs. New York Giants in NFC scheduled to start at 1 pm ET and Pittsburgh Steelers vs. Denver Broncos in the AFC scheduled to kick off at 4:30 pm ET.
The NFL Playoffs are a single-elimination tournament held at the end of the regular season to determine the NFL champion. The tournament begins with NFL Wild Card Weekend and ends with the Super Bowl, the National Football League‘s (NFL) championship game.
