Mel B was booed on “America’s Got Talent” (AGT) Season 8 on her first day as a judge, after she allegedly said that she is not a fan of brass music. Mel B, or Melanie Brown of the former Spice Girls, is one of the two new judges of the reality TV competition, along with Heidi Klum, who is the fourth judge.

According to TMZ on Tuesday, March 5, 2013, Mel B had her first taping day this Monday for the America’s Got Talent audition in New Orleans. Lagniappe, a famous brass music band was the first to perform on stage. But when she said that she is not a fan of the music, she was booed by the crowd.
As noted in the report, Brown, 37, who was also a mentor judge on the Australian version of X Factor, made the audience mad on her remarks. She was not only loudly booed, but also received some negative comments, such as “Go home,” and “No respect.”
Mel B, who replaced Sharon Osbourne on AGT, and is also being joined by Howard Stern and Howie Mandel, whom she reportedly leaned over after being embarrassed and later comforted her. It seems that Scary Spice has learned a hard lesson and will be cautious enough before she makes a personal comment.
After all, AGT Season 8 has just begun. In fact, program auditions will be traveling in other places, including New York, Chicago, Los Angeles, and San Antonio. The show will be aired at NBC, but no schedule has been released yet.
