Kirsten Dunst, who has a Swedish mother and a German father, is now a German citizen, several international news sites reported on Tuesday, October 11, 2011.
“I’m now a real international lady, one who can film in Europe without a problem,” Dunst was quoted as saying by the German tabloid B.Z.
Despite being a German, Dunst admitted that she can barely speak German, comparing her ability at a “child’s level.” However, she still dreams of living in Germany and acting in a German film someday.
“It would be the greatest joy for me to act in a German film,” Dunst reportedly said. “I would prefer to buy an apartment in Berlin. It’s such a young city, and right now so much is happening in Berlin.”
Dunst played Peter Parker‘s love interest Mary Jane in the “Spider-Man” trilogy. Dunst also stars in Melancholia alongside Swedish actor Alexander Skarsgard. Her next project is the comedy Bachelorette, reports said.
