Indian Living God: Sathya Sai Baba Still in Critical Condition

According to reports, Baba was admitted to the hospital on March 28 due to lung and chest congestion. His condition has since deteriorated. He is now on a ventilator and receiving kidney dialysis.
According to the update from the Sri Sathya Sai Institute of Higher Medical Sciences, he remained “critical” although his level of consciousness has “considerably improved” and his vital systems are “stable.”
Baba was said to have devotees in more than 100 countries. He has a following of millions in India and other countries, many of whom believe that he is a living god, and the reincarnation of Sai Baba of Shirdi, known to be a great holy man who died in 1918.
His devotees are hoping for his recovery. “I am confident that all this will be over and Baba will give darshan (appear to his followers) soon,” Sanjeev Singh, a devotee from Uttar Pradesh, was quoted saying.
“Baba is god. This is only temporary,” Mirek, a devotee from Poland, reportedly said.
