Hello Kitty collection by Swarovski in Tokyo opens

As noted at TokyoFashion.com on Thursday, Hello Kitty partnered with Austrian crystal brand Swarovski and opened the “House of Hello Kitty” at Omotesando Hills in Tokyo.
This special “Hello Kitty” event offers free admission to the fans who would like to view the “Hello Kitty” collection from pendant, figurines and earrings featuring Kitty‘s signature red bow.
According to the report, a specially designed “Hello Kitty” room was built where customers can buy the limited edition of “Hello Kitty with Swarovski crystals” limited edition.
A Hello Kitty figurine was displayed during the press preview, studded with a total of 19,636 Swarovski crystals, an 88-pc. limited edition and reportedly worth 1,155,000 yen each or around $14,246.
Among the noted Japanese personalities supporting “Hello Kitty” event include model Ai Tominaga, crazy prop stylist and flower master Musubi Aoki, and costume designer Kodue Hibino.
The said event will last until Monday, July 10, 2011 as all sales were said to be going to Japanese Red Cross which supports the Japan earthquake relief.
