German-American model and actress Heidi Klum is being set to file for divorce from husband British singer Seal, after being married for almost 7 years.

According to TMZ on Saturday, January 21, 2012, sources with direct knowledge to the situation told them that Heidi Klum is likely to file the divorce petition as early as next week in Los Angeles.

As noted in the report, the famous model turned fashion designer will cite “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for filing the divorce from the singer, with the couple having three biological children together.

Klum, 38, and Seal, 48, got married on May 10, 2005 in a Mexico beach, and had two sons (Henry Gunther and Johan Riley) and a daughter named Lou Sulola, who were born in 2005, 2006, and 2009, respectively.

Heidi Klum married stylist Ric Pipino in 1997 but they divorce in 2002, and the Project Runway host dated 53-year old Formula One managing director Flavio Briatore, whom she had a daughter named Leni who was adopted by Seal in December 2009.

Back in May 2010, the couple renewed their vows in the celebration of their 5th wedding anniversary; and on November 21, 2009, Heidi Klum legally adopted Seal‘s surname and became Heidi Samuel.
