Forbes’ World’s Highest-Paid Celebrity Couples 2011 listed Angelina Jolie, Brad Pitt as third

Forbes released on Friday, August 19, 2011 their Top 5 world’s highest-paid celebrity couples for 2011, with Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt landing on third spot.

According to Forbes, the data of this year’s highest-paid celebrity couples in the world came from their latest Celebrity Top 100 list when their earnings from May 2010 to May 2011 are combined.
As noted in the report, NFL superstar Tom Brady and Brazilian supermodel Gisele Bundchen landed on the first spot and had a combined earning of $76 million through business and contracts.
Brady, 34, signed a four-year contract extension worth $72 million with the New England Patriots last September, while his 31-year old wife Gisele made $45 million over the year.
Meanwhile, Beyonce Knowles and Jay-Z went on the second spot, as the music couple made around $72 million over the past year, Forbes said; with the gorgeous singer pulling up some $35 million in endorsement and clothing line business, among others.
Jay-Z, on the other hand, who married Beyonce in 2008, is the owner of 40/40 Club and a shareholder of New Jersey Nets; and has a 10-year contract with Live Nation worth $150 million.
On the third slot of Forbes is celebrity couple Brangelina (Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt), who reportedly made a combined income last year of $50 million; with the film “Salt” earning $300 million and “The Tourist” making $280 million worldwide.
Jolie, 36, was said to have made about $30 million last year, while Pitt, 47, was noted to have made some $20 million, including being the owner of Plan B Entertainment production.
British soccer player David Beckham and his wife Victoria, who recently gave birth to their first daughter, placed the fourth slot and had combined earnings of $45 million for the said period.
For the fifth place, Twilight stars Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart, who have been rumored to be a romantic couple while doing their three Twilight films, made a combined income of $40 million.
