Five Guys voted as America’s Favorite Burger, McDonald’s far behind, Market Force survey says

According to a press release by Market Force on its official website on Wednesday, September 19, 2012, Five Guys landed on the top of the list of America’s favorite burger chains, based on their latest survey, covering three categories: Indexed by Door Count, by U.S. Region, and by Attributes.
As noted by Market Force, Five Guys, with the company’s headquarters are in Lorton, Virginia, is on the No. 1 spot in terms of Indexed by Door Count, with 3.60%, followed by In-N-Out (2.90%), Fuddruckers (2.40%), A&W Resturant (1.80%), and Smashburger on the fifth place with 1.40%.
The other food chains that landed on the Top 10 America’s favorite burger for this survey are Culver’s, Steak ‘n Shake, Whataburger, Carl’s Jr, and Wendy’s. Burger King went on the 12th place with 0.16% and McDonald’s landed on the 14th spot, with only 0.13%.
Market Force, which said that more than 7,600 U.S. consumers were asked for the quick-service restaurant (QSR) industry survey last month, calculated the favorites based on votes. The results were later analyzed geographically in various US regions, including Northeast, Midwest, South, and West.
“Five Guys has created a cult-like brand following by excelling in the areas that matter most to its diners – high-quality food, customer service and cleanliness,” Janet Eden-Harris, chief marketing officer for Market Force, was quoted at MarketForce.com.
“Five Guys does zero advertising, but by delivering consistently great customer experience, they’re able to build a word-of-mouth buzz that continues to bring new customers through the door.” Eden-Harris added, with the Attribute category having included QSR brands that received at least 2% of the vote.
