Updates : Saudi Arabia unblocks Facebook after hours of ban.

Saudi Arabia - Facebook users in Saudi Arabia are having problems accessing their Facebook accounts. Facebook homepage was allegedly blocked by Saudi Arabian government today. Upon typing Facebook login page in the URL, users will be redirected to the green colored restriction page of Saudi Arabia.

Facebook users  from  Saudi Arabia can check this Yahoo! Answers discussion where other users are also complaining about the alleged Facebook ban in Saudi Arabia.

However, Facebook pages such as Batangas Today and user’s own profile page could be accessed. Updates through user’s profile could also be made.

No official announcement has been made by the Saudi government. But according to the Yahoo! Answers thread this might be due to Islam’s mockery in Facebook.
