City-wide Brownout Scheduled In Lipa City

We received a notice today from BATELEC II that there will be a scheduled brownout tomorrow (September 2, 2010) from 6:00AM to 10:00PM in Lipa City. This is due to the emergency shutdown of Batangas 100MVA due to criticality of the Thermal Gas Generation. (NGCP Power Interruption)

According to their website, the affected areas are all Lipa City areas EXCEPT Inosluban, Plaridel, San Lucas, Bugtong, Pinagtung-olan, Bulaklakan and Duhatan.

Power will be restored on or before the scheduled time without prior notice upon completion of work.

Batangas Today advise affected consumers to prepare for the said brownout. Charge your cellphone and emergency lights. Spread this announcement so that everyone in Lipa City can prepare for tomorrow.
