Charlie Sheen and “Two and a Half Men” Controversy ContinuesBy Jena Isle on Mar 1, 2011 in Entertainment, Hollywood, Movies, Television, United States •
Charlie Sheen dominated the headlines once again in the controversy with his previous show, Two and a Half Men . The self-described party animal is threatening lawsuit against the producers of “Two and a Half Men”. Facing the coming days without a publicist and torn between interviews of two popular morning shows, Sheen still sizzles as morning news. All these things happened within the last three days of February 2011, as disclosed by Entertainment news sites.
After the top rated television comedy “Two and a Half Men” shut down, Charlie Sheen is demanding a pay for the canceled eight episodes. Warner Bros. Television and CBS are on their way to pay the four episodes but Sheen wanted more. With a series of interviews last Monday, February 28, he threatened the producers of legal action.
According to Warner Bros. Television and CBS, they have canceled the sitcom because of Sheen’s erratic behavior. Other rumors came out that Sheen is demanding a pay of $3 million per episode just to go back to the show. Currently, he is reportedly receiving $1.8 million per episode, one of the highest earning television actors today.
Based on the flow of events, fans of “Two and a Half Men” may no longer see their favorite comedy sitcom. The cancellation made Sheen’s co-stars and crew out of job and costing the producers millions of dollars.
In another news, Charlie Sheen‘s publicist Stan Rosenfield resigned. Rosenfield said he is unable to work effectively for the actor and thus he needs to quit. As for the reaction of Sheen, he is very confident with his career without a publicist saying “every plan I have is the best plan in the room.”
Meanwhile, Sheen’s separate interview with ABC’s “Good Morning America” and NBC’s “Today” heightened the competition between the two shows. According to ABC, they got his interview Saturday and they felt the impression it was an exclusive dialogue but to their dismay, Sheen talked about the case with NBC just a day after.
Controversies are not new to Charlie Sheen’s life and career. He has faced numerous headlines about his marital problems and drug abuse. Sheen‘s tussle with the producers of Two and a Half Men is just one of them.
