Charlene Gonzales new haircut on ‘The Buzz’ trends on Twitter (Photo)

Manila, Philippines – Beauty queen turned actress-TV host Charlene Gonzales has a new haircut, which became a trending topic on Sunday, January 22, 2012, with tweets praising her good looks.

As noted at ABS-CBN News that day, Charlene Gonzales returned to the network’s entertainment talk show “The Buzz” and surprised everyone on her new hair style, a short, pixie-cut hair.

Gonzales, 37, who represented the country in the Miss Universe 1994 beauty pageant held in Manila, took vacation from the show with her hair still long and has now a totally different hairdo from her beauty queen looks.

Apparently, Charlene immediately denied that she decided to have a short hair because there is now something going on in her personal life that bothers her so much.

“Eh kasi ‘di ba New Year so bagong look, bagong life. Happy life,” Gonzales was quoted on the show.

(It is New Year, so it should be new looks, new life, happy life)

“It’s always been my dream. Dream will always be a dream if you don’t act upon it.” The former beauty queen added, noting that there is no better time to do it than now.

Charlene Gonzales, who also appeared in several local movies, married Filipino actor Aga Muhlach on May 24, 2001 and gave birth to twins named Andres and Atasha also that year.
