Cartersville Walmart shoppers were reportedly pricked by hypodermic needles hidden in clothings at the women’s apparel section of the Atlanta, Georgia branch of the giant retail store, according to reports by several international news sites on Thursday, December 1, 2011. The incident at Walmart‘s store in Georgia has prompted an investigation by the Bartow County Sheriff‘s office.

At least two Cartersville Walmart shoppers were reportedly hit by the needles. Another Cartersville Walmart shopper found a broken syringe inside the pocket of a pants.

Walmart in Cartersville is located about 45 miles northwest of Atlanta.

Reports say that officials at Cartersville Walmart are now working closely with law enforcers in the investigation. They are also adding staff in the women’s apparel section as an extra precautionary measure to avoid the incident and provide confidence to shoppers.
