BMW Championship 2012: Mickelson, Singh Tops Leaderboard into Final Round

The 2012 BMW Championship will have two veterans, Phil Mickelson and Vijay Singh, going head-to-head in the final round this Sunday, September 9, 2012. Other notable golfers chasing for the $8 million purse include Lee Westwood, Rory McIlroy and Tiger Woods.

After the third round on Saturday, Mickelson and Singh were tied at the top of the leaderboard with 16-under par. Mickelson shot 10 birdies on Saturday and that include a 6-iron on the par-3 17th hole for a round of 64.

One shot behind the leaders at 15-under include two-time major winner McIlroy and former world no. 1 Westwood. Adam Scott and Dustin Johnson were two-shots behind the leaders. Tiger Woods is in solo eight place with a 13-under after a third round of 71.
