According to the YouTube description, the fully animated ‘Lupang Hinirang‘ music video is a product of the collaboration of the National Historical Commission of the Philippines (NHCP) and Rock Ed Radio, to mark the country’s 114th Independence Day (Araw ng Kalayaan).
The 1-minute, 38-second clip ‘Lupang Hinirang‘ video, which uses the Radioactive Sagos performance of the Philippine national anthem, is directed and animated by Arnold Arre, depicts the natives before the Spaniards came, the Katipuneros going to the battlefield, and the hardships of Filipino soldiers during World War II.
In addition, the video also shows a man playing his guitar in front of a woman while they were sitting on a small boat, and later shows farmers cultivating the rice fields at the foot of a mountain. A man and his wife, who was cuddling their baby, were seen in the latter part, and a Philippine flag on the last part.
“We allow use and downloading of this video especially for purposes of ceremony. Anyone can screen this video as accompaniment to a flag ceremony, a closing rite, etc.” A statement of Rock Ed Radio reads on the description, requesting everyone who will use the video to make appropriate acknowledgements.
“If your school, corporation, event, company, family, would like to use this video, we only request that you do so with the proper nod to the Flag and Heraldic Code of the Philippines and that you acknowledge the artists involved in the production of this video.” Rock Ed Radio added.
