1,000 flights canceled, school closings due to Chicago winter storm (Video)

The snowstorm has also forced school closings in several areas in the state.
Weather reports say that the winter storm is expected to bring snow of up to 10 inches in Northern Illinois.
There were over 770 flights canceled at the O’Hare International Airport and more than 215 flights canceled at Midway International Airport.
Chicago aviation authorities are advising all travelers to verify their flight schedule with their airlines.
According to the weather service, the snowstorm is expected in the Chicago area from 9 a.m. through midnight.
